Our Story

Founder Henrick Sales, discovered that most art programs, poetry slams, mentors and spoken word events were situated in the downtown Toronto area. Due to the lack of accessible arts-based programs in the Scarborough area, Stay Golden was formed to fill the gap and meet that need. Stay Golden gives youth in Scarborough a creative outlet to explore and share their stories while working on skills such as writing, public speaking, video editing and building self-confidence.
